Privacy policy

What we collect, why, and how to opt out. We keep the collection list short on purpose. If anything below is unclear, ask us - we do not hide behind legalese.

1. What we collect

We collect three buckets of data, and nothing else:

  • Account information. Your email address, a hashed password, and an optional display name. If you sign in with Google or GitHub, we receive a basic profile token from them - no contact list, no calendar, nothing extra.
  • Usage data. Pages you visit on the Service, features you interact with, approximate location (city level, from IP), browser and device type. We use this to fix bugs and understand which lessons land.
  • Paper-trade data. The simulated trades you place, the notes you write, and your journal entries. This is yours; we just store it so you can come back to it.

2. How we use it

We use your data to run the Service: signing you in, saving your progress, sending the occasional product email, and improving how the platform works. We measure aggregate usage so we know which tutorials need more polish. We never use your paper-trade data to train public AI models or to build profiles for advertisers.

3. Cookies

We use a small number of first-party cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. For analytics we use a privacy-friendly tool that does not set tracking cookies and does not share data with ad networks. We do not embed Facebook pixels, Google Ads pixels, or third-party trackers of any kind.

4. Third parties

We do not sell your data. Full stop.

We share data only with the small set of vendors we need to run the Service:

  • Anthropic - AI commentary and chart narration. Prompts and chart context are sent for inference; paper-trade data is not used to train their public models.
  • Stripe - payment processing for paid plans. Your card details go to Stripe directly; we never see or store them.
  • Vercel - application hosting and edge delivery. Standard request logs are processed on our behalf.

Each vendor handles only what they need to do their job, under a contract that restricts further use. We will disclose data if legally compelled, and we will notify you first unless prohibited.

5. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have specific rights under laws like the GDPR or CCPA. Regardless of jurisdiction, we honour these for everyone:

  • Access. Request a copy of the data we have collected about you.
  • Deletion. Ask us to delete your account and associated data.
  • Export. Download your paper trades and journal as a portable file (CSV or JSON).
  • Correction. Update or correct anything we have gotten wrong.
  • Opt out. Disable product emails from your settings, or write to us to opt out of analytics entirely.

Email privacy@reverge.app and we will handle it within 30 days.

6. Data retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is open. When you close your account, we delete personally identifiable information within 30 days. Anonymised aggregate analytics (“X users opened the reversal signal panel last month”) may be retained indefinitely because we cannot link them back to you.

7. Children

Reverge is not designed for, or directed at, children. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. If you believe a minor has registered, email us and we will remove the account.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service evolves. If we make a material change, we will email registered users and post an in-app notice at least 14 days before it takes effect. The “last updated” date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.

9. Contact

Privacy questions, data-access requests, or just want to say hello? Reach us at privacy@reverge.app. A real person reads every email.
